How often do you recommend windows to be cleaned?

  • This really depends on the environment around the building.  Is it in a relatively clean neighborhood, or is there construction or other factors to contend with?  Many like to have their outside windows done 2 times a year.  Once in the spring, and again in the fall.
  • The inside can be done every year or 2 years possibly (if there are no children, smokers or pets)
  • Tip: If you are planning on having a leaf blowing company come to your premises; it's probably best to have your outside windows cleaned after they're done. Leaf blowing can create a lot of dust!

How much do you charge?

  • For window and eaves cleaning - all buildings are different. The type of windows that a building has will make a huge difference in the amount of time that a particular job will take. (Please see our Photo Gallery for examples)
  • Modern "picture" windows (no dividers) will take the least amount of time.  However, "grid style" windows (with dividers), sliding windows, the removal of storm windows, and leaded glass windows will take considerably more time to clean properly.
  • Other things worth mentioning are: When was the last time this type of job was done? Has there been any construction or renovations since the last time the windows or eaves were done? Are there paint splatters or smears, stickers, or tape that need to be scraped off? Do you need any screens cleaned?  Will there be a lot of ladder work involved?  Things like these will add to the amount of time that a particular job will take...

What do you include in your services?

Window cleaning:

  • We start off by sweeping away any cob webs or debris from the window sills and frames.
  • Then we thoroughly wet scrub and scape (using a professional window scraping blade) the window panes, and use a variety of rubber squeegees to provide a streak free job.
  • Next, we dry the entire perimeter of the glass with lint free cloths.
  • We also wipe down the window sills and frames to finish it off.
  • The cleaning of screens can also be done, if requested.

Eaves cleaning:

  • We thoroughly remove the debris from the troughs, and check to verify whether each downspout is clear or plugged.
  • If a downspout is plugged, we unscrew and disassemble the elbows and downspout in order to unplug it properly.  Of course, we then have to reassemble the elbows and downspouts after the debris is removed.
  • All of the debris will be bagged (we supply) so that the City can remove the contents from your premises.
  • Our goal is to ensure that your entire eaves trough system is working at its best.

Will you accept cash? (in order to avoid paying taxes)

  • No, we will not.  We believe in honest business practices, and this includes paying the taxes.
  • In relation to this, every customer will receive an invoice - either in printed form, or electronically through an email.
  • Our preferred method of payments are e-transfers and cheques.
